Basic Arrhythmia for EMS
This class is designed to cover a wide range of topics that are pertinent to identifying an ECG rhythm. The course will start by covering anatomy and physiology of the heart to allow the student to have a better understanding of the physiology of the cardiac rhythm. The course will also cover how to identify sinus; atrial; junctional; heart block; and ventricular rhythms, the causes of each along with signs and symptoms.
The course will include a significant amount of time interpreting cardiac rhythms, and what treatment approach would be most beneficial for the patient.
Upon completion of the course the student will be issued 12 hours of continuing education credits.
